Bring back the Underground when there were multiple clubs. There aren't any places to shop and there can be more places eat. Downtown is cool when there's stuff in town like during Clusterfck -- DragonCon weekend. I mean you have the hotels, Tabernacle, the stadiums, Rialto, etc. that are excellent foundations to build upon. There just needs to be like a better meshing of everything. Once you get past downtown and hit Peters St. there's all kinds of cool spots, for example. Being born and raised in Chicago and coming here, Atlanta's downtown is a big WTF.
If AT&T notified people in December then certainly they would've given them a date in December or some type of arbitrary timeline like "somewhere in March" or "by the end of the first quarter 2012" or something. Are people so moronic that they actually think that a corporation would acknowledge ike "oh yeah you stopped folks from being laid off". If all the of the workers are saying different than what theat AT&T spokesman is asserting, then get a clue on who is telling the truth.
For the guy that said education isn't under attack:
Shontasha Roache needs to go to http://www.occupyatlanta.org It is very clear what Occupy stands for. And if that doesn't help, maybe she needs to read a book or watch a documentary. I can recommend several.
To the student that said "no it's not", perhaps he needs to read "The Dumbing Down Of America" by Charlotte Iserbyt or watch this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9M4tdMsg3ts
And for the guy that said "get a job" maybe he can explain why the Census just released that people near/above the poverty the line has increased 16% to over 40 million. Why are there over 14 million on food stamps? Why since 2009, an average of 10 million students that have earned degrees including doctorates are working jobs that don't require the degrees they have?
