I have asymptomatic oral herpes.
I hardly ever have symptoms, but I know I contracted it from my mother as a baby because I have had the occasional fever blister/cold soar my entire life. It was not a result of sexual deviancy. Oral herpes can be transferred through saliva, so since my mother had it and I was genetically predisposed, her kissing me as a baby caused it to pass to me.
Very rarely (maybe once every 2 or 3 years) I may get a cold sore, but it is always in direct relation to extreme stress.
Also, the one is four is totally viable. I'm sure many of you get "canker soars" guess what...oral herpes. I'm sure many of you had chicken pox as children...also herpes.
Are there very scary and very dangerous TYPES of herpes? Yes. However, the one is four is most likely asymptomatic, and probably just doesn't know it and is completely harmless.
