I don't trust anyone who compares a mom & pop style, local neighborhood joint to an assembly-style restaurant chain.
La Parilla is a Mexican restaurant. Red Pepper is a taqueria. Two totally different concepts, Sammy. I must agree with Jeff...guess there's a gas crisis in the city because I live down the street and have been here at least multiple times since they opened and it's consistent, fast and delish!
The place has a cool, trendy vibe and the owner is very passionate about his product. Also, I'm pretty sure La Parilla's menu doesn't contain nearly as many, if any, organic or local ingredients.
