The infrastructure of that area, and d'town in general, cannot handle the traffic a SB would bring, even with a shiny, new stadium. Our city transit is trying, but its by no means sufficient enough to handle the high traffic a SB would bring. It would be chaos d'town.
Spend the money on creating fan & player loyalty. That is what brings in the money. Invest at the bottom, add some time, and the rewards will be much greater than a one-day return. It might even strengthen your city, who knew?
This city has the worst fan-bases I have ever seen in professional sports. Invest in making this a better sports town. The SB will come, it will just require some patience.
I appreciate what Arthur Blank has done for Atlanta so far, but if he just has to have a new stadium, please leave and go ruin some other city.
Make it heavy rail and extend it North from Lindbergh up I-75 while you are at it.
