I know you are aware of the angels and the serpents. It is time to right some wrongs and allow purity of purpose to come into play.
Thanks should also go out to Janet Byington of Phil Gingrey's office and Whitney Jones Nave for their part in this. I feel Jason was remiss in not giving out at least a bit of thel credit to those who have helped him with his great accomplishments in Summerville.
“Oh what a tangled web we weave,
When first we practice to deceive”
“A sound head, an honest heart, and an humble spirit are the three best guides through time and to eternity”
Both quotes from Sir Walter Scott that are timeless. Just seemed appropriate response to this Casual Loafing article and needing to be said at this point.
I am not sure Howard would appreciate the lyrics to some of the songs sung by the Drive By Truckers. This band is scheduled to play at the Finster Fest and some of their songs include titles such as:
The Presidents Penis Is Missing
Goddamn Lonely Love
Dead, Drunk, And Naked
If the titles aren't enough to make you wonder then you should check out the lyrics. Not exactly a Christian based family fest as in the past.
I am not the Whitney associated with the festival.
Thank you Mr. Turner for mentioning that others have been doing everything possible to keep the gardens going because of their love for the project and for Howard Finster. They have been working to retain what was left by earlier opportunist who plundered what they could and left the remains. Now we seem to have a new group who makes light of those who worked over the lean years without any compensation or recognition. Mr. Poole seems to call this work neglection--I call it stewardship of the most humbling kind.
On slide # 5
Is this the corner shelf that was in the garage?
