America's Favorite Talk Show Host, based in Atlanta, GA. Take a listen to my scinitilating podcast at ArtHowardAtNight.com.
I met Koechner when he was at the Ri Ra Irish Pub for the open mic stand up sets with Conan O'Brien's writers. When the lights went up, of course, an autograph line formed in front of him. Got to shake his hand and tell him how much I enjoyed his chat with Marc Maron. He's also taught improv here in town at the old Relapse. Seems like a very nice man.
Listen to Jeff Clark discuss this article and many other things in the interview I did with him at ArtHowardAtNight.com. (No, I'm not too classy to post ads for myself.)
A couple of guys that looked like they got a lot of girls.
The Dollar Tree is beyond awesome. Dollar General blows ($10 items in a $1 store?). The Family Dollar I can't comment on, but the ones I've seen look pretty raggedy from the outside.
I talked to a member of The Black Nerd Show, Taj Turner, on my podcast just a few weeks ago. It's good to see an article on what they're doing. This article makes me realize they may be doing something historic in comedy. Black comedy I've seen up to now has been from a "Fred Sanford" or "Eazy E" viewpoint, not Heathcliff Huxtable. This could be a big turnaround.
I'm surprised federal researchers fell for the ol' fudge-on-the-report-card trick. That used to work in 6th grade. "From what I remember, mom, my report card showed all A's before I dropped that fudge brownie on it."
My love of being surrounded by Far Right religious nuts. The absence of any sign of human life downtown. Oh, and I'm afraid of becoming destitute and homeless in a really cool but expensive city like Los Angeles.
