I created a CL account solely to respond to this article - Jesus, thank you for wasting my time reading this crap. Basically, you're saying that you're an Asian girl who goes to Asian promoted nights and gets mad there are a lot of Asians and creepy old guys who like Asians? Wow, there's a shocker there - shouldn't you expect that there will be lots of Asians?

I am an Asian female that works in this industry (hospitality for the bar/club/restaurant scene) and you're an idiot. I will NEVER go to an "Asian" night anywhere whether that's Vanquish/Reign/Opera/etc. Why segregate yourself? It's 2012, sweetheart. Maybe all of your friends are Asian so this is why you go, but I am 100% Asian and don't really have many Asian friends. So when you're saying the "Western" culture, I think that applies to me as well.

Also @smitty - you can't use the word "Oriental" when referring to a person of Asian decent. It's no longer PC. =)
