I understand what he is saying, but to me there is a big difference in a rapper or Archie Bunker as a character and Bill O as a political commentator. being a hypocrite is not the same as being a "character"
I am very confused that he likes Bill O'Reilly the "character"
I would also bet most rap artists "consider" themselves religious - but that being said, I am glad Killer Mike stated this because religion itself is the only reason for the decline of religion in the USA
I hate these kinds of shirts. we get it.
@voxpopuli - not necessarily, I find it hard to believe those from Roswell, Alpharetta, Johns Creek would ride Marta over those in South Dekalb.
You can't deny that public transportation is a socio-economic argument, you can choose to ignore it, but it doesnt go away. The reality is that Public transportation is a "choice" and a "nice-to-have" for a lot of people - but its not a choice for a lot of minorities and areas (such as South Dekalb).
@wesleywhatwhat - they might want it, but its not useful. 90% of riders will NOT be able to go that last mile (which is probably a lot more than a mile in Atlanta) - so unless they plan on ubering or using the marta bus (not likely) to actually get them to their destinations, its a waste.
it is not a sustainable way to look at transportation. demand is much larger inside of 285 - why is that ignored? just build more SMALL stations.
- where we fail is the number of stations we have. if we were to add stations, WAY more people would ride. and not just during the week when they have to go to work - they would ride at night, on the weekends, etc.
and @Burroughston Broch - an 8% increase is not a lot considering the USA has seen the largest increase in public transportation ridership since the 50's. yes its good, but is it great? no.
Per Southpark, I do believe the Marta Manatees are grabbing random "idea balls" and that is how Marta decisions are made.
If Marta does this, I will 100% give up on public transportation in this city. Why on earth would you go to Alpharetta? its like going to vegetarians and offering them meat, they just don't want it.
