As much as people want to say that all of the guns, hand and long, on the steps of the Capitol on Friday were a poor image to portray...
I say EXACTLY the opposite - realize that about 300 armed law-abiding citizens came out to rally in favor of their second amendment rights. They started the event with a prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance, heard some speeches, handed out button, stickers and brochures. Legislators came out from their sessions and mingled. And with all of this..... NOTHING HAPPENED - none of the scary guns jumped off the back or out of the holsters of those that carried them, they committed no crimes (neither did their owners) and had no negligent discharges.
THIS is the image that I am proud to say I was part of displaying. 300 hundred law-abiding, gun toting people committed no crimes. Hell... they didn't even set fire to anything... Yup - I am proud to say I was there.
