And it is... hence the part about 'shall not be infringed. Period.
Instead you should be asking "Why do I hate stereotyping a-hole's like me'?
So you think anything OTP is nothing but fat old white guys, soccer moms and SUVs? Get over yourself.
Take a look at any area you actually hang around in and count the number of people just like you. I'll bet there's a lot less 'diversity' than you want to admit.
The 'burbs are little towns and cities outside the city... in fact take a look on a map sometime and you will notice all the areas ITP that aren't City of Atlanta. Hate to tell you, but those are 'suburbs' too.
Now take a look at the latest census data. I think you'll find that most of the counties just OTP are far more racially diverse than Atlanta proper is.
Does Cobb not want MARTA? Can't really blame them. Not run worth a damn and almost useless in an East/West direction. Do people drive there? Sure, but again, take a real look and you'll see just as many plug-in hybrids at the 'mall' as you will on any city street you can name.
And I also notice you specifically disdain the 'suburbanites to the North', yet Atlanta has plenty of suburbs just south of it as well. Of course they are majority black so I guess the 'guilty liberal' in you can't bring yourself to be disgusted by 'those suburbs'.
You holier-than-thou hipster's need to get over yourselves and look at the actual world around you, not just the little echo-chamber clique you surround yourself with.
There are plenty of great reasons to live outside the city. In fact I'll guarantee that you will not be living 'intown' in 10 years, unless you end up panhandling and sleeping here after a failed writing career.
Or am I being too harsh?
Like you said up front... this shutdown has no effect on the daily lives of 90% of the people out there.
If it can hold the Dem's (and yes, the Senate is run by Democrats) feet to the fire on any real budget reductions, I'm 100% for it lasting another week. Or a month. Or a year.
In other words the gov't shutdown is have as little effect on GA as it is the rest of the country.
And why is the government even involved with paying for Head Start and Meals on Wheels? They are charities, not government programs, or have we lost all distinction between the two?
Wow, Glad I'm not a parent paying good money for their 'education'.
This story really makes clear how pathetic and sad college students really can be.
Politifact is far more politics than fact...
"According to a poll trumpeted by Mayors Against Illegal Guns, 91 percent of Georgians now favor mandatory background checks... Both surveys were sponsored by Mayors Against Illegal Guns"
Why do you even bother printing this garbage. I'm pretty sure if I said that a poll by the NRA said 92% of all citizens were against background checks, I'd get totally flamed.
Journalistic integrity is dead.
Rather than asking why MAIG has to run their own polls to get the answer they so desperately want, you print this like it's straight-up news.
