First, I live around the corner from where they want to build this Family dollar. At Cascade Rd and I-285. You have no idea what you are talking about when you say at least they are investing in the neighborhood. We residents have attended meeting after meeting to stop undesirable stores from entering the neighborhood and we have been defeated every single time. They have added many fast food chain stores that were not zoned and rezoned our area so that the stores could be added. Since then, the property value of my home has tanked, 240K to 80K! You have no idea how these stores come in and riff raff to shop at them and the people who own the homes lose all equity, they can't sell, the homes are underwater, and you lose your home in a bad economy and then the people who can, move out, and section 8 moves. Before you know it, Cascade Heights will look like the West End. So if you don't live here, you don't know what you are talking about. Do your research before you say there is nothing wrong or any type of positive impact from a store like Family Dollar moving into my neighborhood.
