What's wrong with faithfully recounting an experience, good or bad? That's one of the reasons I still read The Loaf--I know I'm getting an honest assessment not colored by peripheral bullshit. As far as I can tell, good food and good service are the main requisites here, and apparently both were lacking. Thanks for the heads up CL. They'll probably get a full review later on, maybe they take notice now and up their game.

All of that being said, during my undergrad years at UGA I was a repeat patron of Harry Bisset's original Broadstreet location in Athens, and I never had a bad experience. That was many years ago, but at the time I would have recommended them without reservation, not only for the tasty food, but also because of the classy interior space with tons of light and exposed brick. I hope they can work the kinks out; I would like to try the new spot if only for old times sake.
