Re: “Time and Place: Dog for sale

You're quite welcome, Glenn, although honestly it wasn't all about You. I've heard same for decades. And I think Sardonic is a perfect word for you. Bit too negative for my tastes in my life, but whatever works for ya.

I actually rarely reference "offensive," as that's another word I'm not overfond of. Speaks to the issues of the individual much more than whatever was the catalyst. Of course you don't want to be holding a puppy like that, but that pales into comparison with selling them for $100 through any random car window. That's what's gonna mess that pup up. And since it was one of our private FB pages on Angels that this link was posted, many Angels are discussing it, and the whole reason I came here, I stand by the logic of what I said. I didn't say it FOR Angels, I said it for Me. You happened to be around and saying additional comments about not the puppy, but the periodical. I replied. Simple stuff, really, and certainly not worth altering my emotions over.

Have a great holiday, everybody!

Re: “Time and Place: Dog for sale

Odd story, but understand based on original photo. Yes, the pup slightly uncomfortable, looks worse than is, and it's the way they get carried by their own for 1000's of years. Don't agree or like at all the selling pit mixes, but whatever. My current foster is one...

Btw, go Like us on Facebook, and check out our website. Angels Among Us Pet Rescue, largest of our kind in the South from high kill shelters, all volunteer. I got 400 dogs and 75 cats as we speak.

Since I'm also a Journalist, I have to say that you never judge a paper by one piece, just like you never judge a company by 1 employee, makes no sense. I've been in Atl since 1967, and the CL has always been around, and always had a "place" in this market. There is no "masquerading" as journalism aspect, because it simply is not That kind of periodical, through and through. Which anybody that actually read through it even once knows immediately.

Anybody that actually Reads the CL knows that it is a very diverse publication. Actually does have excellent true journalists and writers, and actually does some incredible investigative journalism. However, if you think This piece - and half the other stuff that's in the CL - is "supposed" to be Journalism, you really don't know the CL. Then again, if you're interpretation is "sick piece of trash," I really have no clue as to why you're even Here, commenting. Perhaps Fox is a better piece of Journalism for ya?

And yes; that part was definitely humor. Fox has little to do with reporting the facts, not why it was designed or created. Wiki Roger Ailes and you'll figure out why Rupert created Fox.
