Re: “Mad over Rachel Maddow

Oh please. They're all hacks. Portraying Maddow as somehow more reasonable is just proof of your liberal cognitive-bias. Sure she may be less of hack than Hannity, but that's not saying much. I'll never understand the desire to have your world-view force-fed to yourself every night. What exactly are her qualifications again? Besides being a super-smarty pants? Every single talking head is a waste of time. If you care about current events, go read the Economist or something intellectually stimulating. She is not turning us into "better informed viewers", she is showing people how to view the world from one particular, partisan vantage point. While she may be good at that (this article is proof), she is nothing but another useless partisan hack. The desire to pseudo-intellectualize the affection for Maddow is just proof that liberals watching MSNBC, just like Conservatives watching Fox, don't "get it". If the people who watch these channels nightly would stop voting I think we could get a lot of good stuff done.

Re: “Grady on guard

This was an excellent series of articles. I find it shameful that Conservative politicians in many states refuse to enact the Medicaid portion of the ACA. As if having 1 out of 5 Georgians with no insurance and totally reliant on ER's like Grady isn't enough, they offer no alternative solutions. We all end up paying more for this flawed system. What you can't afford is the status quo - that much is clear. Playing pure politics in a safely Conservative state is not leadership and it is not what we elected our officials to do - it is cowardice, pure and simple. With the transportation referendum behind us and state unemployment well above the national average, I must ask what exactly Governor Deal has achieved thus far that warrants re-election.. He didn't raise your taxes? What a hero.

Re: “A center to make Atlanta better

Good article. The Ponce City Market development, which I live near, looks to be doing exactly this. Instead of bulldozing a historical building, they are embracing it.
