The jail? That's already by the Greyhound station. I would think moving Greyhound to Atlantic Station would make it more appealing, but they really need to put in a Marta stop at Atlantic station. Many people who ride the bus jump on Marta as soon as they arrive. I don't see why they can't just have a short line that runs from Midtown to Atlantic Station then over to say, 10th and Northside and then back around to North Avenue station or over to Civic Center. It has become hard to get around that part of town because of all the traffic and lights. Regarding the current Amtrak station, I would say it's almost sufficient for their 2 trains a day, and although they do not currently have a Marta stop there, the Peach bus runs by there quite frequently. It would be nice to see them fix up the current station, put in new platform infrastructure and then install a parking garage complete with rental car center. I realize that's a pipe dream, but there has always been a disconnect between Amtrak and the ability to get around once you arrive in a new city.
