Love this place. The Indian is my favorite!d
Uber already requires insurance and all drivers are vetted. So, there's that. This is a case of a dinosaur business model who underserved the population lobbying to keep their substandard business intact. And the local government is happy to oblige because of the money they're most likely receiving. Taxis here have been horrible. They drive away from people trying to hail them if they don't have cash. They overcharge. They're small and rather unclean. Ugly as hell too. Sorry Taxi, you dropped the ball, failed to grow and innovate and now you're crying because you're getting ousted. Uber has done it better all around. I bet if they did a study they could pin a significant decrease in drunk driving incidents on Uber as well. Time for taxis to take a hike.
