Curt, you're almost dead-on -> however your analysis is askew by pawning the corruption soley off on corporate entities when the blame lies on the power elite systems involving the collusion of private and non-private entities. Gere's company has been pyramiding its way past its troubles and so has the government of the u.s.a...this is a story plot point that rarely gets explored as American citizens cling to their faithful and flawed belief in rule by the people's electives
