Re: “Historic southwest Atlanta church, property eyed for new library

It's one thing to look at the world(or neighborhood) with natural eyes -- it is what it is. But you, back of a horse's head, have referred to the residents in my neighborhood as thugs, hos, johns, thieves and junk-yard dogs! I don't have to know who you are to recognize your spirit: one that would tear down instead of build up or discourage rather than encourage. It does not matter if we "beautify the area"by filling it with as you say,"neighborhood friendly businesses" when our hearts are still "dilapidated buildings and chain link". It's not the SW of Atlanta that needs revitalization, it's the man in the mirror and I think a library is a great resource for change. This will give our young, Black neighbors opportunity to learn who they truly are(not thugs and hos) and just how much we as a Black People have overcome. And you, my friend, could learn that it is better love than to hate.
