You are not a suck puppet. LOL. But you are ok with voting for the double standard and favoritism you mentioned. Those are merits worth talking about and standing up for.
The problems of our country (not just our cities) will be addressed when we elect people that are not looking for a political career but are just average citizens, fed up with the double standard and favoritism - or as I like to call it - CORRUPTION.
That's why things don't change, everyone rather "play it safe" than give someone that, to your standards, doesn't fit the bill of being a politician, a chance. I case you have been asleep for the past 12 years, our country has gone backwards in time thanks to all of us trying to play it safe during election season. Iraq and The great Depression is the outcome of all of us playing it safe.
Keep playing it safe, all the way to another war that we had no business in starting, another economic collapse and another mass shooting. Because boy! we sure do know how to elect great leaders!
