The prostitution problem is the symptom of prostitution prohibition. Prostitutes and clients have nowhere to go to do their trade. Street prostitution will always occur because street walkers can offer services cheaper than an indoor prostitute. The criminal justice system cannot keep them in jail. The economy and workforce do not accept many prostitutes because of drug habits or lack of job skills. Our government cannot keep handing out welfare. If our government gives live able wage welfare to able body citizens, too many citizens will take advantage of the system and refuse to work. Decriminalizing it and setting up Redlight zones are the answer to the prostitution problems on the street.
