I have smashed in car windows with my u-lock.
I have spit on cars.
I have cursed at drivers.
I have chased down cars for blocks and blocks looking for revenge.
I run red lights.
I run stop signs.
I weave through traffic.
Many drivers get off on hitting or swiping cyclists. I have been literally pushed off of the road by an Atlanta police cruiser on Memorial drive. I have been swiped by a BMW on Edgewood. I have been "bumped" on Peachtree Center.
Drivers: this is your warning.
There are many other cyclists out here who will smash you car up if you come too close. Additionally, we will physically attack your body if we get the opportunity. Our lives depend on you watching where you are driving and staying far from us.
You can't just treat cyclists and drivers the same. It's not equal. We won't kill you if we run into you...no matter how badly we may want to.
"The rich and poor alike are banned from sleeping under bridges." Such is your logic, OP.
