Re: “R.I.P. Jason Molina

Damn. Truly, one of the best song writers of our time, and i'd hold him up against any lyricist/songwriter of any time. Thank you so much Jason, for providing me with some of the most cathartic moments of my life. Sobbing-sing-along. I hope you could feel me as i felt you, connected through a recording, though parted by time and space. It's obvious to me you had demons. i know because your demons sang to mine, and somehow that made my burden lighter, if just for a moment. Thank you for letting me know, at times when i'd forgotten, that i am not alone. Thank you, for shinning a light on the beauty of pain. I'm so sorry that your pain finally overcame you through your disease. I hope that you are in a better place, and am glad you've finally found peace. But, i'll miss you, even though i never met you personally. And, i will cherish the moments we shared when i saw you perform.
Your albums will be all the more bitter-sweet. But, they will continue to connect you to this world in a beautiful and meaningful way. and, if you are somewhere else, instead of merely not being anymore, i hope my continued understanding love and admiration will find you there...
