As a resident going on 40 years now I would say the following. I run up and down Highland every Tuesday & Thursday between 6-7am, and greet everyone I meet or pass, because it's MY neighborhood, and You are my neighbor. I pick up trash along the way because this is where I LIVE, and I like it to be CLEAN. I trim bushes and low-hanging limbs along the sidewalks to make them more pleasant & passable for all my NEIGHBORS. I wish I could fix the CRATERS and 'buckled' sidewalks and missing meter covers to make it safer for US ALL, but I can't do that by myself. I sincerely believe that VA/High/Morningside is the best Atlanta has to offer by far. And to keep it a 'neighborhood', we all need to get out on the streets and BE neighbors.
