Thanks so much for this piece, Andrew! As a Georgia born and bred man who just went up to NYC and married my husband -- because that's where we met and fell in love, it's tough to know my marriage isn't technically worth anything in the state I love and call home ... and may not be for a long while if left up to legislators and voters here. And yet, yes, anyone with half a brain can look around and feel, see and hear the swelling, positive tide of acceptance and support. It's an anxious time for everyone to be sure, but trumping that concern and impatience is the peaceful feeling that the majority of the nation is on our side now, sweeping ruling or not. It's not even "our side" any longer. Because, after all, Equality is the right of all of us. And deep down, Americans get that.
