I am certain that if they ever "clean up" Cheshire Bridge that the restaurants that Cliff mentioned will go away, too. Then Cheshire Bridge will look just like Midtown, West Midtown, and every other homogenized, tedious part of Atlanta. The current businesses on Cheshire Bridge exist because they nurture and embrace diversity, which has sadly fallen out of favor. Even the vast majority of today's gays want to be just like everybody else. Atlanta's funkiness has always appealed to me and countless others, but that bit of charm is becoming harder and harder to find.
