Re: “MARTA's draft wish list for Atlanta includes Beltline transit, infill stations, better buses, and so much more

@bone voyage I had to look up "ART" (Arterial Rapid Transit) because I'd never heard of it. See the maps above - Cascade Road, for example, is labeled as one potential corridor for ART. This addresses your specific concern regarding intersections.

Re: “Stephen Stafford, 13-year-old Morehouse sophomore

Love the way he talks about the freedom of the city and his boredom with cars/driving everywhere. Wonder if this changes when he actually drives a car? Prelude to the "new millenials"?? -- he should be 17 by now...time for an update?

Re: “The inevitable battle between Sweetwater and the Great Atlanta Pot Festival over '420' has begun

The twitter rant, by the Lagunitas brewery's owner was a classic on this subject. It was after Sweetwater threatened to sue him!

Re: “Farewell, Braves?

I've been going to Braves games since I was a little kid. The old stadium, the new stadium, I always had a great time at the game. I didn't grow up in Atlanta, but just moved here in the last year. I'm not from the 'burbs I'm from Florida. Also, I'm a Cubs fan.

I've always hated the traffic in this city though. So when I moved here, I didn't bring a car. It's actually pretty nice. This last year, I took the bike down there a few times (Cubs games, Mets game, Reds game). Now tell me - who could take a bike to this new stadium?

I ask because I honestly don't know. But, it looks like a whole bunch if Interstates up there. No transit connection. How am I supposed to get to the game? I guess I'm supposed to get a ride.

In this sense it's like many people have said: the move is all about money. The Braves don't want people like me at the game I guess. I didn't leave them; they're leaving me. I guess I'll have to enjoy these next few years, while I can.
