Re: “Tom P strives to beat underdog status

To respons to my friend above me. You should listen to more music from Tom P. He raps circles around Yelawolf and content is far superior. And this is coming from a fan of both of them. I remember a few years ago seeing Yelawolf open for Tom a few times before he got signed with Em. Tom is also not just a white guy who raps fast and even has songs about getting labeled that way by people who haven't actually listened. most songs Ive heard he has more old school slow flow but he speeds it up and throws in tongue twisters and other styles here and there which is what keeps his music interesting. Most of his shtick is that he is not one note and that he can rap in so many different styles. fast just being one of them. I agree it seems every white boy is rapping fast now but I knew Tom personally back in middle school and he was trying to rap that way a long time before I heard anyone else do it besides bone thugs and twista so if anything he was one of the leaders of it, not a bandwagon follower.. But when he does go fast he puts all the other fast white boy rappers to shame easily. Yela is dope too but he's a character. Tom looks like a normal "white rapper" or really a normal white guy but his lyrics are more in-depth. you start to realize the guy is not only talented but he's also completely nuts also.. in a good way. Try checking out more of his music I think it may change you're mind. He has already far surpassed yelawof lyrically and gunning for eminem at this point. Cheers.
