Wesleywhatwhat - your reply is very amusing. Your language shows the type of person you are. And no I didn't vote for Mr. Reed. Yes I do live in downtown Atlanta (Atlantic station to be exact). If you do not want to pay for it MOVE. No one is holding you hostage in Atlanta. And yes you are definitely A UNINFORMED CITEZEN, and you are proving it. Lol
Just stop being lazy and do some REAL research the old fashion way and stop googling everything
wesleywhatwhat - I am not speaking as an uninformed citizen, I actually have very close knowledge of this situation. And yes you are correct it is MORE than $500 million. Do CORRECT and REAL research and you will see a itemized listing of repairs needed for dome and information as to when it will be PAID OFF. It is amusing how some people google the internet find the information they want and go wild with it. Get up come downtown and do REAL RESEARCH. You may or may not live in the downtown area but the ecconomic impact of the entire project around the building of the new stadium will greatly help the downtown City of Atlanta. If you are a falcons fan or not you must think of the city of atlanta and the impact that this project would have on the city. Or maybe Atlanta is not the city for you, hmm.
Have a great day.
wesletwhatwhat - if you had done your research you'd know the dome will be paid off BEFORE the new stadium opens. If they would have kept the current dome the TAX PAYERS would have had to pay over $500 million in upgrades and maintence.
