The main issue I have with this construction is the money of taxpayers. These civilians already feel their money is not justifiably used. We'll have a grand big stadium. We'll attract tourists. People will come see the Falcons play (as if that wasn't happening already). But every bit of the way towards the stadium tourists will see the homeless under 75/85 by-pass. Tourists will see abandoned/condemned buildings. Tourists will see lots of trash on streets. Tourists will feel the bumps from the holes in the roads. Tourists will feel the bottom of cars scrape against raised parking areas. Tourists will have to wait for MARTA trains and buses to pick them up (bc the turn around time is so bad now). And what Atlanta wants even more than tourism is occupiers. Atlanta wants people to come from all areas and move here. They won't, not after they see what the city spends its money on. No money for new books in schools, they cut down on teaching staff, police staff is low, but Atlanta can find, budget, and justify these millions of dollars for a new stadium (as if the old one is not decent enough). This stadium will not bring any new jobs. Once that construction is done that will be it. Atlanta needs to be better and become a true Mecca of the south.
