Tom- good point.
Ashley- don't understand this at all, because if you want to get in a panel, you can. Unlike ComicCon San Diego, which can take a whole day of waiting.
Native- nice slippery slope argument. DragonCon is super packed this year, so they're trying to make it better for congoers. I know for a fact that you can go in the hotel if you have the name and room number and say you're staying there with the head of room. Stop with your logical fallacies.
Everyone complaining about this, but bragging about how much bartenders will lose (which is a damn lie, I had a host hotel at Marriott and still spent bank at Pulse and the other bars while the tequila and vodka were floors above in my room!) are the worst kind of people. If you can afford to drop 500 at a bar, you can afford to spend the measly $50 for a day pass. Shut up and let the real congoers enjoy a less crowded, but still packed and partying, time.
