In the last few years I or people I know were hit nearly hit buy things being thrown over hotel balconies... ice and food and paper are one thing, but glass and heavy objects have caused the main area to be closed down by security during nighttime events. These are the issues that caused this. Unwanted grabbing or groping of cosplayers... one guy distracting a girl while his friend goes around and snaps video or pictures of her ass? This has been rampant. Duh, cosplay and general costuming is for "attention and admiration" but here is a huge line between wanting people to admire the hard work and look and being inappropriate and disrespectful. I am a con photography enthusiast and I get to the point where I'll stop taking pics because the air of creepiness and disgust around me makes me feel like I'm doing something wrong. It's sad for those who like to be included and make the atmosphere more fun, but the few who come to be disruptive and cruel have been ruining it for all.
