I would also like to comment to wesleywhatwhat's post about the existence of "true craftsmen" and "true mixologists".
They do exist, in fact they make lots of money practicing their craft for the enjoyment of others. Wesley probably drinks sour mix margaritas and has never been to San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Austin, Seattle, London, Rome, Paris, or any other major city for that matter where craft cocktails have been on the rise for years now, all over the world I might add. You sound very ignorant when you demean the professions and passions of others, just sayin...
Shrubs are amazing in cocktails, however the Shrub & Co products taste terrible. Shrubs should contain nothing more than fruit, sugar, and vinegar. A chemical reaction takes place making them shelf stable.
The Shrub & Co products all contain WATER and CITRIC ACID. This tells me they are trying to increase the yield of their products by taking shortcuts.
Shrubs take weeks to mellow properly so making them for a bar or restaurant is difficult, but there are better products out there. Once you taste a real shrub you will realize that Shrub & Co is nothing but a cheap imitation, organic or not.
