Just pulled into a load and unload area in front of my store "Gurl Props" in little 5 points 1146 Euclid Ave Atlanta GA 30307, to unload merchandise, and received yet another illegal ticket from a Atlanta Police officer "J Vaveli' working for Park Atlanta in full Atlanta Police Attire,I explained to the officer that the sign above allows for business to load and unload, He advised me to take it up with Park Atlanta, how long will the City Of ATLANTA allow this kind of terror to go on....Park Atlanta has single handedly created a bad experience for so many shoppers, and business owners, that once enjoyed shopping in lil 5 Points, and its a slap in the face to see that, Tax Paid Police Officers part take in this fraud, as to say you co sign with illegal activities.

      ParkAtlanta parking violation ticket complain

Saturday, November 19 4 PM, I park my car outside Georgia tech Hotel in downtown Atlanta

Went to the booth, inserted my card entered the amount and I thought I paid my ticket and waited for the receipt did not get the receipt. The meter indicated that the transaction had been completed . So I called their 800 number on the parking meter and left a message.

Another great example of the city of Atlanta getting the raw end of a deal that they clearly didn't think through. They screwed over their own small business owners in favor of some Milwaukee-based company that could care less about the impact they are causing in OUR city.

On top of that, we are still left in the dark as to enforcement.

Gabriel, I think you have hit on a good point that was alluded to in the story. If the neighborhood groups could have been involved in the planning of which streets would be metered, what types of meters would be installed and which areas would be designated as entertainment zones, then I think the transition would have gone more smoothly.

I emailed the following to Creative Loafing:

Please investigate why Atlanta Police officers and various counties Sheriff’s departments deputies are allowed to park their personal vehicles in a clearly marked “No Parking” and “Tow Away Zone” near Grady Hospital and expired pay parking meters. This happens on a daily basis without any tickets issued from ParkAtlanta.

"In 2010, the outfit brought in $2,970,000 from meters and another $2,978,000 from citations."

So wait-- they only brought in just shy of $6 million last year? They have to pay the city $5.5 million no matter what, and still have the costs of employee salaries, maintaining their fleet, etc. Given how many different cars and officers I've seen, it sounds like they may have actually lost money in Atlanta last year.
