      <![CDATA[It seems that GDOT performs the disadvantaged minority certification for most, if not all, of State Government. It seems to be a rock that the State and the City of Atlanta don't want anyone to look under.

      <![CDATA[The only reason I surmised that GDOT backed off from decertifying Jackmont, MACK II, and other supposedly "disadvantage" minority firms is because of its own dirt involving the lack of minority participants in the in road-building and other lucrative transportation contracts.<br>
<br>
Because I'll just bet that if GDOT did make such a move, then all eyes would be on it. It can be pretty hard to call out the cronyism at City Hall when that same cronyism is practically a lifestyle at the Gold Dome, I would think.<br>
<br>
It would be nice if our local media actually looked into this angle I've mentioned, but then again that would be like expecting pigs to fly.
