Wal-Mart is an example of the perfect forced marriage as people are broke and Wal-Mart is cheap.

Well, Wal-Mart is cheap at least until they drive most, if not all, of the other existing retailers in an area out of business at which time Wal-Mart becomes an example of the perfect SHOTGUN marriage.

In this case, the "broke" market that Wal-Mart is attempting to corner by locating a store in the aging Suburban Plaza is the market that is anchored by tens-of-thousands of 'income-impaired' students at Emory University, which is only a couple-of-miles to the west out North Decatur Road.

It is a very-well established pattern that Wal-Mart loves to open stores within a couple-of-miles of a growing campus of a college or university because college students are one of the most loyal 'constituencies' of shopper that a company that bills itself as having really low prices and carrying almost everything under-the-sun can have.

I just look forward to the day I get my government issue hammer, I know that handle will be long and smooth. Or maybe we will all just be issued a hammer when we are born, or we will have hammer panels that decides who will gets hammers....happy days indeed.

I will say this, my unimaginative boring HD hammer does what it is intended to do, I am not as confident in my Government hammer.

Good luck with that. As I am sure you know the Ace is on its last leg due to competition from the big boxes and the quality at Lowes is going down hill, as is Home Depot.
