i can be honest about the fact that corruption occurs at every level and is about to happen before our eyes with the stadium.. i wonder if others can be that honest, or would they rather talk about unrelated topics?

But I keep forgetting that people here in Georgia have a mental block when it comes to old white male cronyism. Apparently, no-bid contracts for white-owned companies don't exist, to hear some people call it.

So much for equal opportunity cronyism.

This is what will happen: exactly like the airport, the contracts will be awarded to "needy and deserving" Black entrepreneurs (you know - the ones driving Jaguars and living in Beverly Hills, they are just so in need of more government money).

After the contract gets awarded, then the subcontracts will get awarded and the subcontractors will hire...illegal Mexican immigrants to build the new stadium.

Just ask the folks in Cobb County about how that works:

The public contribution for stadium construction will be capped at $200 million, which would come from the hotel-motel tax collection by the city of Atlanta and unincorporated Fulton County.
Invest Atlanta would be asked to issue the bonds using the hotel-motel tax that currently supports the Georgia Dome. The city’s economic development arm became involved after state political leaders balked at issuing construction bonds through the state.

The rest of the cost of the $1 billion facility would come from the Falcons and other sources.
