Zoo Atlanta Tiger Rattlesnake Found Dead

ATLANTA - Zoo Atlanta officials say a tiger rattlesnake that escaped from the Atlanta Zoo Friday has been found dead.
Zoo officials say they received a phone call Monday morning concerning a snake sighting.
A member of the reptile staff at Zoo Atlanta responded to the call on Atlanta Avenue at a vacant home that is being remodeled. Upon arrival, the snake was found dead on the front porch of the vacant home, say zoo officials.
Zoo spokeswoman Keisha N. Hines said the adult female rattlesnake escaped quarantine Friday.
The two-feet long snake was part of a shipment of confiscated snakes sent to the zoo by the Department of Fish and Wildlife.
Tiger rattlesnakes are native to Arizona and northwest Mexico.

What they failed to note in this particular article is that tiger rattlesnakes are the "most toxic" species of rattlesnake.…
