A NY-born singer/songwriter, Harvey has been involved in a bevy of projects in the last few years (including the Web video series Friday Girl TV), but her latest endeavor — Women Interactive — is set to launch Oct. 12.…

Dave Dove, the Houston-based trombone player, composer, Texas avant-garde music fixture and DJ Screw enthusiast is performing his screwed-down and droning mashup of styles at Eyedrum on Tues., Aug. 23.

Last June, Dove led a slow procession of trombone and fugue-like moments of DJ Screw recordings, creating a sound that settled in somewhere between whale songs, hip-hop and a Robitussin swagger, and it was absolutely mesmerizing.…
