For a lesson in what not to do in 2011, check out Stanley Kubrick's notorious 1971 classic. Malcolm McDowell plays Alex, a charismatic young psychopath who commits horrible crimes in a lousy future when bowler hats are all the rage and pub crawlers drink drug-laced milk. An experimental treatment "cures" Alex of his violent ways, and he gets a taste of his own medicine. Afterward, be sure to check out the epilogue of the original novel to find out how author Anthony Burgess intended the story to end. Either way, you’ll never hear "Singin' in the Rain" the same way again.
