Office workers crisscross Peachtree Street during lunchtime near Colony Square. The commercial area developed in the 1970s bills itself as Atlanta’s “first mixed-use project” and, when first proposed, was planned to be a 3 million-square-foot “micropolis.” Shortly after it first opened, the complex once featured an 8,000-square-foot ice skating rink.
