A tree grows in Decatur

And a Boortz speaks in Alpharetta

Right-wing radio hack Neal Boortz is a popular guy. Despite being mistakenly filed under nonfiction, his latest book, Somebody's Gotta Say It, continues to fly off shelves. Last Tuesday, we joined several hundred Boortzians for a signing at the Alpharetta Barnes & Noble. Boortz entertained the crowd with, among other screamers, a quick story mocking people without health insurance. Comedy gold!

On Friday, we stopped by the NARAL Pro-Choice Georgia rally at the Capitol protesting a Rome Kroger pharmacist's refusal to dispense prescription emergency contraception. And on Saturday afternoon, we attended the Georgia Arborist Association 2007 Tree Climbing Championship in Decatur even though we're staunch opponents of arborism.
