Small efforts can lead to big changes, so Creative Loafing is partnering with local nonprofits, the Home Depot Foundation, and volunteers from around the city to make an impact in Atlanta's neighborhoods. Called the Do Good Campaign, this series of grassroots partnerships helps raise funds for neighborhood-based projects that might not have found the resources otherwise. CL is dedicated to helping community organizations raise at least $2,500 through online fundraisers. Program sponsor The Home Depot Foundation matched contributions dollar for dollar up to $2,500 with in-kind donations for our first seven projects. All participating organizations are 501c3 nonprofits, so that means your contributions are tax-deductible.
Do Good launched in March 2013 with three projects in Capitol View/Capitol View Manor, Grant Park, and the Old Fourth Ward and we surpassed our goals for all of them. To date, we have raised more than $35,000. Do Good is ongoing, with opportunities for neighborhood organizations and nonprofits around the city to nominate projects they think will change things for the better, and, quite simply, do some good in the ATL.
So join us! Donate time. Donate money. Nominate a project. Do Good.
