In some circles, day-drinking brown liquor may raise a few eyebrows, but never at Holeman & Finch. On Sat., Jan. 18, the next installment of H&F’s Academy of Bartending class will offer an in-depth look at the world of American whiskey (beginning at 11 a.m.). Designed for both casual sippers and veteran connoisseurs, the class will cover the history of distillation, aging practices, and the nuances associated with various production methods. During the tasting portion, attendees will receive instruction on how to properly taste and appreciate these complex and moody spirits. Highlights include an offering from the Van Winkle Family Reserve and an H&F Burger lunch.
