Tom Catherall's latest addition to his Here to Serve restaurant group is a blast from the past. Everything from the red and black decor to the lychee-tinis gives this restaurant the feel of a culinary hot spot from the late '80s. The menu, on the contrary, lacks the pizzazz found in the surroundings. The lobster and shrimp won tons suffer from stiff wrappers, and the curries need a little more heat and complexity. The desserts are where the restaurant truly shines. Japanese doughnuts with tangy passion fruit dipping sauce are just one of the interesting items found on the dessert menu.
