The Southern Foodways Alliance, a Mississippi-based organization dedicated to Southern food and culture, brings its POTLIKKER FILM FESTIVAL to town on Sat., JAN. 6. Some of Atlanta's finest are providing the chow, including Linton Hopkins' pig on a stick and Anne Quatrano's catfish popcorn, to enjoy during two films by SFA's Joe York. Marsaw follows Martin Sawyer (pictured), a 60-year New Orleans bartending veteran, as he reminisces and mixes Sazeracs, while Hot Chicken shows the folks and the spicy story behind Prince's Hot Chicken Shack in Nashville. $35-$40. 4--7 p.m. Sweetwater Brewing Company, 195 Ottley Drive. 404-691-2537. www.southernfoodways.com.
