Ann Price is the owner of Anns Snack Bar on Memorial Drive, which is famous for its hamburgers:
I started Anns Snack Bar because I like to make people happy and this place seems to do that. Its still work, but I enjoy it. I have been open 34 years. Ive seen this neighborhood go all the way from bad to worse to the bottom, and now its coming back up.
The rules of Anns Snack Bar [which are posted on the wall] are something I did to make this business a better place.
The idea for the Ghetto Burger actually came from a customer. It was originally just a double-chili cheeseburger and some guy said, Hey, Ann, you should call this the Ghetto Burger. So I added bacon to it and it became the Ghetto Burger.
Our popularity makes me very happy. Im proud that so many people enjoy our food. I am not closing at the end of the year, thats a false statement and I dont know where it came from. Ill be open for two more years.
