Lots of family activities, astronomers on hand to take your questions. At 1 p.m., Dr. Lara Wagner of UNC Chapel Hill will lecture on “Imaging the Ancient Margin: How the Southeastern United States Was Built (And Why You Should Care).” Weather permitting, the Atlanta Astronomy Club will set up solar telescopes on the front sidewalk for viewing the sun (safely), and answer questions about using telescopes. Door prizes after every planetarium show. Your planetarium ticket stub is your door prize drawing entry, and you MUST be present to win!
