Atlanta Punk Apocalypse 2012 at the Highlander

November 18, 2012

November 17, 2012 — Hard-hitting bands from around the Southeast took on the Highlander Saturday night, drowning out thoughts of impending doom (You know, that whole Mayan prophecy thing) in cheap brew and fast music. Burns Like Fire, Flat Tires, Antagonizers ATL, Brains for Brunch, and the Nervous Jerks churned through their roughly half-hour sets. The Antagonizers ATL managed to blow a guitar head, and an amped-up crowd busted so many beer bottles on the mosh pit floor it was impossible to keep count.

Organizers are calling this the first annual apocalypse fest, so if this rock of an Earth holds together another 12 months, consider yourself warned: There'll likely be another round next November. Until then, here are some photos.
