... Turn lemons into lemonade cocktails

First thing you'll need is a great homemade batch of lemonade. Sweet or tart, your choice. Next, have plenty of ice on-hand as well as a blender, some well-chosen bar tools (strainer, juicer, muddler), and your favorite booze at the ready. Gin, vodka, rum, and tequila — to name a few — all lend themselves to summery cocktail experimentation. And the better your booze, the better your cocktail. Duh. Try adding a lemonade splash to your favorite margarita. Turn lemon daiquiris into lemonade daiquiris. Muddle your way to a lemony Mojito. Keeping it simple and using a little restraint is the key to a great lemonade cocktail as that hit of citrus goes a long way. Our favorite combo so far: a spiked Arnold Palmer — a mix of lemonade, iced tea (sun tea is best), and a generous splash of sweet tea vodka. Pour over ice, add a lemon slice, and drink. It's aces.
