... Hike up Stone Mountain

Atlanta is lucky to have Stone Mountain in its backyard, but sometimes we all need a little nudge to actually go out and enjoy it. The information center at the top with info-graphics about lightning and various flora may not be that impressive, and the 1.3-mile trek to the top can feel a little more like 10 miles at times, but it's all worth it just to feel that sting of pride once you reach the top. So make a conscious decision to get off the couch, put down the iPad, and actually break a sweat doing something good for you body. Take a breather at the top while you snap a picture or two, you'll need the evidence. Then, when it's all said and done, go have a beer. Hell, you deserve it. You just hiked up a mountain. www.stonemountainpark.com.
